  • Versatility: Suitable for a wide range of applications, including potable water systems, irrigation, and certain chemical applications.
  • Cost-Effective: Affordable and reliable solution for changing the direction of PVC piping.
  • Low Maintenance: Requires minimal maintenance once installed.
  • Compatibility: Can be used with other PVC pipes and fittings of the same nominal size.

Applications

  • Pool and spa systems
  • Aquariums and fish ponds
  • Drainage systems
  • Certain chemical processing applications

Installation Instructions

  1. Cut and Clean: Ensure the ends of the pipes to be joined are cut squarely and free of burrs. Clean the pipe ends and the inside of the elbow with a PVC cleaner or primer.
  2. Apply Solvent Cement: For slip fittings, apply a thin layer of PVC solvent cement to the outside of the pipe ends and the inside of the elbow sockets. For threaded fittings, use an appropriate pipe thread sealant.
  3. Join Pipes: Quickly insert the pipe ends into the elbow sockets or thread them into place while rotating slightly to spread the cement or sealant evenly.
  4. Hold in Place: Hold the pipes in place for a few seconds to allow the cement to set.
  5. Cure Time: Allow the joint to cure for the time specified by the cement or sealant manufacturer before applying pressure or use.
