Refrix R‑410A is an azeotropic HFC refrigerant blend known for its excellent energy efficiency and zero ozone depletion potential. It was specifically designed to replace R‑22 in new-generation air conditioners and heat pumps. 1. Can R‑410A be used as a replacement for R‑22 in old systems?

No. R‑410A operates at much higher pressures than R‑22 and is only compatible with systems specifically designed for it. Retrofitting is not recommended or safe.
