Honeywell Genetron® R-407C – Product Overview

Genetron® R-407C is a non-ozone-depleting, hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) refrigerant blend, designed as a long-term replacement for R-22 in various air-conditioning and refrigeration applications. It is a zeotropic blend of three HFCs:

• HFC-32 (Difluoromethane) – 23%

• HFC-125 (Pentafluoroethane) – 25%

• HFC-134a (1,1,1,2-Tetrafluoroethane) – 52%

This blend provides a performance profile similar to R-22, making it suitable for both new equipment and retrofits. However, it is not recommended for use in chillers with a flooded evaporator due to its high glide characteristics .
